A day at the Children's Art Festival....

We spent yesterday at the annual Children's Art Festival here in town. This year it was at a baseball stadium because downtown is being redone. I kinda liked it on the field like that. It was easy to find everything and keep track of your kids. :)

The kids had a fantastic time...well until Ryan pointed out someone dressed as "Sparky, the fire dog"....then it went downhill for Autumn for a little bit. Poor thing... :(

The kids painted tiles to be put at the new playground that will be built soon, they colored paper plates designed to be like dinosaurs, make catapillar clothespin clips, drew on backstroke flags for our swim team, built something at the Home Depot station, made a balloon dog, and many other things!
Ryan discovered the pottery station and soon followed Autumn & Jessica. They had a blast and we are now considering signing them up for a pottery class. The lady said Ryan was there a long time and did wonderfully. I think we've found a new hobby for him! I'm sure the pottery wheel was very relaxing for him. The girls loved it too. They are all very artistic so it was neat.

I posted a couple pictures above of the pottery the three kids did. Autumn's is the biggest bowl, Ryan's is the smaller one with the flared out sides, and Jessica's is the one that looks similar to Ryan's.

Have a blessed day!

the bowls look good, are they fired or do they need to be fired to use them? They would make good flower pots or bowls for ceral. You kids did a good job. Love Gramma

The bowls are not yet fired. We are going to call the Art Center downtown and see if we can get them fired, even if we have to pay. The kids can't wait to use them.
