fathers and daughters...

Harold and Jessica left this afternoon to have a "father/daughter weekend" of sorts. :)

Jessica has a swim meet in the morning (12/9) in Sierra Vista, AZ and the two of them went alone. They will be home on Sunday.

We're praying Jess does well in her meet and enjoys it. This is the first "real" swim meet she will compete in. She has done one "mini-meet" with just our team here in town but now she'll be up against a number of teams. She will also swim against one of her best friends from our team. I love her attitude though, "Mom, I don't care if I win or not. I just want to do my best!" :)

After her meet she and daddy will explore Tombstone, AZ and see the sites. They'll leave early on Sunday so she can be back in time for play practice at Church.

It was supposed to be a girls weekend with her and I, but I really felt like she needed this time with her dad so I asked if he would take her. She's growing up so quickly and her dad needs to give her his attention while she still wants him around ;-)
I know they will enjoy it and Harold is videotaping the swim meet for the rest of us to watch when they get back.

Hope you have a great weekend too!

how did the swim meet go? Hope Jess did well and that her and Harold had a good time. We were in Duluth for the weekend and watch the christmas program at the church for Bri and Adam, it was really good. I hope that Jess and Autumn have a good pagent too. Love Gramma

It went well and Jessica was 7th in three swims, 8th in another. That is broken down by age group. That is good for her since it's not just our team. She needs to get her speeds up but that takes time :) She's very pleased with it all!!
