One week....

It's been one whole week since Ryan left to stay with Gramma & Grampa for a month. It already feels like it's been forever since they left.

I actually didn't think it would be too much different, except that Ryan wouldn't be able to argue with me over schoolwork, there would be more hot water, I would still have a good babysitter.....those are the big ones I can think of.

Here's what is different without Ryan here:

**it's quieter ~ no one opening and closing doors often, no lego noise

**we've had the same loaf of bread out for a week ~ usually we have to put a new one out every three days

**the bedroom stays clean ~ Patrick really does not make a big mess all on his own

**cheese & canadian bacon last longer ~ Ryan is a big eater of these two items

**we don't have to make as much food ~ yesterday for lunch I told Jessi to make just one box of mac & cheese for her and Patrick, we usually need two

**Patrick is clingier ~ he doesn't have his brother to play with

**no one stays up past 10pm ~ Ryan & Harold would have "boy nights" where they stayed up watching movies or playing PlayStation

**we've not had to watch one sci-fi show ~ Harold is not watching them without his side-kick

**no one complains when Autumn wants to watch "I Love Lucy" dvds ~ that's Ryan's job

I'm sure I could think of more.....

I miss my son!!

Grampa is noticing how much Ryan eats and snacks. It's different for Ryan, he doesn't have his lego's to build with, the ones here are to old and he can't build well with them. He said he is enjoying his visit, not sure if he misses home. He doesn't know how to reply to this. Mavis
