Ryan checked out a Star Wars chapter book from the library. I mean the regular paperback kind, not the kids ones.
So that's not all that amazing to you?....
HE IS READING IT!!! I mean, "seriously sit down read all the words and really getting into it" reading!!
For those that don't know Ryan as well. He does not read. It's that simple. Yes, he can read and reads well. But for pleasure reading...haha...what a joke! He would read comic books, study "technical type" books on his favorite subjects (ie...star wars, star trek, military jets...) but that's about it. No real deal reading chapters going on.
We even bought him books that we thought he would like with names like; "Captain Underpants" and "The Day My Butt Went Phsyco". Other than reading Patrick a few pages here and there to bore him to sleep he would not read the books. Come on, these are seriously stupid and funny books...right up Ryan's alley ~ haha!
So now you know what all the excitement is over him actually reading this book! He's a few pages into chapter 1. I'll let you know if he finishes the book :)

that is good for Ryan, I hope he finishs the book and can write a report for you. We still laugh at some of the things he did while here. Grampa brings things up every now and then. It was a good thing for grampa. Now we are looking forward to Jessica's coming. Love Mom
