Rabbits, rabbits everywhere...

It's that time of year again.....Jessica had two rabbits entered in the fair and so we spent two days watching that. Here are some pictures of the fun. :)
This first picture is the kids showing rabbits for breed. Jessica is the one in the center (not sure which rabbit she is holding...Molly or Chester)

This one is also of showing for Breed. Doesn't Jessica look so thrilled??!! I can tell you that this rabbit is Chester :)

This is Jessica doing Breed with Molly. She is on the right hand side. Don't the rabbits and kids look so nice?.

Now we are on to Showmanship. This part is all about the kids - how well they handle the rabbit and how much knowledge they have of the rabbits. Jessica used Chester for Showmanship because he is such a good rabbit.
She looks like she is crying in this picture to the right but really she wasn't...I think it might have been from when she was given her ribbon and she was a bit upset. She got a blue this year.

This is Jessi doing Showmanship. She is showing Chester's teeth.
In the one to the right she is showing his "ear canker".

Holy buckets! That girl is sprouting! She does look very nice in her 4-H outfit. It is too bad about Molly and a blue ribbon is still a good ribbon. We can't all be the top person all the time.

Nice job!

Uh yea, I noticed she looks very tall in the pictures too. I mean I live with her and I know she's growing but wow, she really looks tall in the pictures! She is like her Aunt though in that she is ALL legs!!

She was pleased with her ribbon even though initialy she was disappointed. She knows why she got it. As she said to us; "Oh well, we've still got next year!"
