We are doing a study on Native Americans for our homeschool group. Jessica had to present a lesson today on a tribe she was studying. She chose the Nez Perce tribe from the Northwest. She also presented on how to tan a hide for use. She did really well!
As part of this we also decided to make dolls out of cornhusks. This is what the Iroquois used and was the easiest for us to use.

I love this picture of Autumn. Notice the tongue hanging out the side of her mouth! Haha!!! She sooo takes after her dad :)

Here is Jessica working on some.
Mine is the doll that is laying there all completed.

And the below pictures are of the completed dolls Jessica and I made.
Patrick asked me to make him a BOY one this morning because there was no way his was going to be a girl with a skirt!! I'll have to get a picture of it because it's too cute :)

Yes your children are warped, Poor toad, I'm sure it didn't expect to go flying! The dolls turned out nice, glad Jess did well on her project. Good history lesson. How did Ryan do with his?
