Jessica and "her" horse!
Jess has always wanted a horse and actually so have I.
A friend at church mentioned that her friend was going to be leasing out one of her horses. This is the horse that she wanted to lease out.
He is the BEST horse! Very gentle and doesn't mind kids or beginners.
We had been told by Harold's Aunt Pat that we needed to get an older horse to begin Jessica on. This fit the bill :)
Jessica was told by the owner that basically this horse is Jessica's. She gave her the saddle, saddle blanket, & bridle for Jessica to keep at home and take care of. We can go out and ride whenever we want :)
She also lent Jessica her training videos so Jessica can watch them and learn some things. She is also teaching Jessica all about caring for a horse, etc... It's a fantastic opportunity for her and I also have her doing a horse unit study at home to learn even more. The beauty of homeschooling!

Oh my another animal! It really is a zoo.......Jessica needs to get a job now so she can help pay for the horse and food and such....yikes!!! :)
thankfully we don't have to pay for food, vet, or the guy that comes to trim the horse's hooves :)
We are requiring her to pay part of the leasing fee though.
