
Wednesday (10-3) our homeschool group took a short field trip a rocky area where there are some Petroglyphs.
We have been study Native Americans for the past few weeks and this was a great opportunity to take that studying on the road :)

Here are a couple pictures of the kids climbing up the hill to get a better look. There was a petroglyph up there somewhere.
In the picture on the left you see Ryan in the dark shirt and his friend, James, in the red shirt. I believe that is Sophie in between them. In the picture on the right is Patrick (in his Spiderman costume!) trying to give me a heart attack!!

These two pictures are of some of the petroglyphs we saw. No one knows what they mean. They were drawn by the Quechan tribe from long ago (that tribe has their reservation near Yuma) and the history of these was never passed on :( So sad.

looks like the kids had a good adventure. Patrick really needs to be less od a dare devil, he is scary at time.
