dr ryan at your service...

Harold has been ill for a few days now but today has really gotten the best of him.
He came home from Ryan's bowling this afternoon and said he needed to go to bed. No biggie, Ryan asked me to take him to his Boy Scout meeting.

Anyhow, we go to the meeting and get back. This is the night that I have to deliver papers on the base and we use Harold's van for it. Normally Harold would unload it when he gets back from scouts. I mentioned to Ryan that the van was still full and we had to figure out what we needed to do for the papers tonight.

Ryan's response to me was, "Mom, if someone can open the garage door I'll unload dad's van."

I sure love this kid!! He didn't complain and he didn't need to be asked. He knew what needed to be done and offered to do it. :)

We got started and Harold got up and came out to help. We told him to go back to bed because the kids were going to do it. (Autumn & Patrick wanted to help too) He pulled one toolbox out for Autumn.
When he came back in he told me that Ryan asked him if he'd taken any cough medicine and he replied that he had. Ryan's next comment was; "The next best medicine for you dad is to get back in there and go to bed!"

Yes sir!!
