what the heck??....

I think I must be sick....

It's nearly 90 degrees outside and today I

made this soup for lunch....

I mean really, who eats HOT soup in 90* weather??

That is, besides someone who is mentally ill??
(which I am starting to think I am!)

Then for reasons I can not explain....

I began baking.

Again...I ask,

who in their right mind bakes in 90* weather???

I baked:

• peanut butter cookies
• snickerdoodle cookies
• mini banana bread loaves
• cornbread
• waffles for the freezer
• loaf of english muffin bread
• pancake batter for the fridge

This all began after I started cleaning this morning.

I managed to get the kitchen counter cleaned up...we had too many piles of junk on it that really needed sorting out. I shredded, pitched and put away a lot. I also cleaned out my purse and shredded receipts I no longer needed.

I started cleaning more in the kitchen area and did the dishes. I scrubbed my floors and some of the cabinats. I also rearranged appliances on the counters (which drives Autumn nuts...haha), washed down the outside of the fridge, and while cleaning out the freezer shelves I came across the box of snickerdoodle dough. I started baking those while I was cleaning out my cookbook cabinet and that's how I came across recipes for the other cookies, english muffin bread and saw the bananas that needed using up.

It was a very slippery slope that I slid down...

but the family is happy now that I've actually baked something for the first time in MONTHS! I just have to hide atleast half of it so they don't eat it all in a couple days. Trust me, that could happen here...Ryan will claim a loaf of banana bread for a snack and it just goes from there.

And to top it all off....Jessica is now baking some chocolate chip cookies :)

Little does she know that I am going to make her bake bread tomorrow morning..hahahahaha!!
