what was that again....

Back at the end of April we went to San Diego as a family to enjoy some time.
The kids and I sepnt a few hours at my friend, Bridget's house. There Autumn and Patrick got to pick all the snails their hearts desired off her fence. You can see Patrick in that picture with some of the snails. They each had a KFC box with them in there.
We were so kind and left them in the parking lot of the hotel during the night so they could get away :)
The real reason we went to San Diego though was this....
Our nephew, Brandon, was graduating from Marine Corps Bootcamp.
This was very special for us to be able to attend. The kids and I have never seen a graduation ceremony before and it was unique. (of course I learned after I took this picture that that was not Brandon's squad...his was the one before it...)

Making the day even more special was that the WHOLE family was able to attend. To the right is a picture of three generations of Marines.
L to R:
Step-dad, Dave
Harold
Jeff (Brandon's dad)
John (brother-in-law)

To the right is a shot of the whole family. I can not
even begin to name everyone for you. :)

We then took the kids over to Mission Beach for about an hour of fun before most of them had to get back in vans and head 5 hours back to Las Vegas. We were the lucky ones that had only a 2.5 hour drive :)
