reminding myself...

This morning I decided to get up early for once....(I've been sleeping until 10am local time since I got here...ooppss).

ANYWAY....I decided to take a cup of coffee and a book of my mom's that I've started reading and head out on the back deck. I have found my favorite spot!
As I curled up on the bench, sipping my coffee, and reading I noticed the sounds around me. It was beautiful out. Lots of birds chirping away, a robin picking up worms by the tree (do you know how long it's been since I've seen a robin?!) and just the cool breeze blowing. It was soooo relaxing and wonderful. I stayed out there for quite a while.

Then mom came out and we started weeding here flower garden out back. Wow, there was a lot to take out of there! We also took down a fence that she didn't need in there anymore. And I think a weird bug bit her cause then she was out trimming tree branches and pulling other weeds....all in her PJ's!! :)
We got it cleaned up though with the help of the golf cart & trailer and the little slaves I brought along with me :) Autumn loved helping. Patrick on the other hand was busy with the worms I had found him while I was pulling weeds. What a boy! Too bad he got in trouble and missed seeing the big grub we found on a tree stump :) Of course I took a picture of it though...

When I drove the golf cart around to the back side of the yard to unload, I remembered why I don't miss living here..... all the flying insects!!! I soooo don't miss them!

So it was a nice fantasy while it lasted....the thick, green grass & nice tall trees with a cool breeze blowing through. The cute birds chirping..... Yea, whatever - the insects ruined it :)
