I really need to upload some pictures so everyone can see what we are doing here:)
Currently Autumn, Patrick, and I are at my sister, Bev's house. We came down here Tuesday evening after having a wonderful LOBSTER dinner at mom's. Bev had been in Maine for a short vacation and brought 4 fresh lobsters back with her. YUM!! I had not had lobster since being in Maine in 1990. The kids had fun looking at them, touching them, and helping me crack the shell to get all the meat out but they were not going to taste it. Ha ha! They sure missed out in my opinion.
Yesterday (wednesday) Bev took the kids and I to Pizza Hut for lunch...Autumn and Patrick's eyes were bigger than their stomachs...although they did eat a lot!
Then we did a couple errands and Bev took the kids to watch the car ferry leave to head to Michigan...4 hour trip by ferry. that was interesting. :)
She then took us to a little "beach" and the kids loved playing so much that we ended up coming back to her house to get towels and walked down the the "beach" near her house. She also stopped for them to get ice cream. Autumn & Patrick were in heaven.
Since then we've been lazing around a bit. Bev is always on the go, but for me it's nice to just be able to relax a bit and let the kids play.
We received some difficult news from the Hospice people yesterday and so it's been a lot of emotions. It's all hard to digest even though we knew it was coming. :(
Today I am taking the kids and going back to my mom's house. Tomorrow morning I will pack them up and head to Duluth, MN for the weekend. We will visit my best friend, Carrie, and my sister, Renee, & her family. Carrie is letting us use her house which works great. It will be fun to take the kids around and show them where we lived when Ryan was a baby, the lift bridge, and other fun things. I think they will enjoy it. :) Sunday we have a full day with Renee and her church family, it sounds like it will be a good time.
Hope everyone reading this is doing well. Please keep my mom & Wayne in your prayers.
