school updates...

This has been a better week as far as school is concerned.
No arguements from Patrick about going to school. He is actually happy in the mornings and comes home happy :) I like this change!
He got to be "line leader" this week and was very proud of that. It meant that at the end of the day if he was good for the whole time, he got to turn his behavior card to purple and got a sticker from the teacher. This was a big motivator for him.... although, on wednesday that didn't seem to be enough. He said he had a green card all day, got to turn it to purple, and then just before the day was done he had to turn it to yellow....because he made a funny face. The kid just cracks me up!!

Patrick also started reading this week!! He is so excited and so are we. It's fun to watch him figure out words and be so proud. He is going to be a reading fool soon ;)

Autumn had another great week. She really thrives in the school enviroment. We had requested a strict teacher and a very structured classroom. She got both and really likes it. She loves her teacher :) She does miss her school from last year but she is making lots of friends and learning how to navigate a bigger classroom.
She told me yesterday that the teacher gave her a packet of third grade math to do. She and Lilly are the only ones in her class that were bumped up in math so she is way proud :) Of course she felt the need to tell the teacher that she loves math and could do harder work..haha!! She also had testing this past week for reading groups. I think she is in the highest one but not sure.

Ryan and Jessica gained access to their classes on Wednesday but we didn't find out until Thursday night. We were having troubles with log in and finally got into their school emails to learn how to log in. I was busy yesterday printing off their "pace charts" for the classes. It's going to be hard work but I think once we get a schedule of sorts down, they will do good.
Ryan and I looked at his Japanese class and he is in for some work! The good thing is that he is excited about it :)

Jessica was excited because her Social Studies teacher called her to meet her. She liked that.

I'll update on school again next weekend.
