happy birthday to me...

I turned the big 35 today. Wow! It's hard to believe that I am on the top of the hill before you slide down the other side to 40... I sure don't "feel" 35....then again, what does 35 feel like? I know when I was little it seemed ancient. Now it seems like it's not so bad and 60 is more like middle-age :)

Anyhow, aside from me pondering what age is... I did have a pretty good day. It was relaxing and I got some fun things. Just the way I like a birthday to be. :)

Of course we had cake for breakfast as always. Since I accidentally melted the candles onto my cake last night the kids decided to put on 16 single candles and light them. I sat there wondering if I enjoyed my sixteenth birthday and if I would want to be that age again...lol.
Anyhow, once they were lit I was really glad they had stopped at 16 because it was a like a mini-forest fire and pretty warm to sit in front of. Not to mention having to blow out ALL those candles before they melted IN TO the cake...haha!

As for presents:
Ryan gave me a bag of sunflower seeds (haha...I can't steal his this way!)
Jessica gave me a two-liter bottle of Pepsi (yum! the elixer of life)
Autumn gave me a bag of Ghirardelli chocolates with carmel middles (YUM!!)
Patrick gave me a bag of different chocolates (he's such a cutie)
Krysten (friend from SD) gave me a $40 gift card to Barnes & Noble (I already spent half of it)

My sister gave me the best card, proving yet again that she knows me very well! It is a Pirates of the Carribean card that plays the pirate theme music :) Gotta love it!

I loved ALL my presents and it was a perfect birthday :)

No, I don't think they did...lol.
I figured out what caused them to start doing this....Autumn read the side of her snapple bottle and that's where it said about the licking stamp thing.
