My Ancestor’s Mask
I have chosen my grandpa for my ancestor. For the stuff that reminds me of him are: a fishhook, a tent, a painted pool table, a tree made from split peas, and letters that spells his name from the newspaper.
The fishhook is for his love of fishing. He loved to fish and it was always fun to fish with him. He wasn’t scared to grab a toothy fish like the Northern Pike. If there was nothing to do he would gather up his fishing gear and get in his boat and head out to fish.
The tent is for his love of camping. Camping was one of his favorite things. He had an RV at the lake he fished at and would spend weekends there fishing. He also loved to just camp. It reminds me of a trip to Maine I went on with my grandparents and we camped which was really fun.
The pool table stands for him loving pool. He knew every pool trick out there and taught me a few. That was one of his favorite past times.
The tree is for his love of wildlife. He especially loved watching the deer. He loved looking for Bald Eagles and watching fish jump. He loved hiking. It was so much fun with him.
The newspaper letters are for his name and he loved reading the newspaper. Every day, after he woke up he’d get the paper, sit down, and read it.
