My dryer quit drying this week. It just started deciding when it wanted to dry clothes and when it didn't. Sucky thing is that it did not ask me before it started to do that! Atleast I could have told it which loads I was ok with hanging on the line and which ones I wasn't (such as whites with all those socks and undies!!).
Now, I really don't mind hanging clothes up to dry. Number one it saves money on electricity, it's better for your clothes, and it's a little exercise for the day. The problem comes though when your teenage son has not done his laundry in a couple weeks! Do you know how many clothes that is to hang?!? Needless to say, I could only do two loads of laundry before I ran out of room on the line.
The other probem is that two loads of laundry a day to wash and hang is no big deal if you are caught up on laundry and everyone is good with clothes and towels....
That's not the case here. Of course. All the towels in the house need to be washed, some people are out of clean underwear, Jessica claims to be out of clothes even though she wears the same jeans for days in a row... AND, I just bought her some clothes at a thrift store. Teenagers!!
Harold is trying to rig my dryer to limp along until we can get the warrenty people out to fix it. He knows the problem, just doesn't have the right part and doesn't want to buy it since the warrenty is still good. If he can get it to limp through the towels and whites, I will be eternally grateful. The rest I can just hang or people can go around naked :)
