Patrick, my little love and my baby left me behind today. :`(
We were all supposed to go to Las Vegas today or tomorrow to spend a few days with Harold's siblings & mom. Everyone was looking forward to it.
Well over the weekend Patrick and Autumn were sick and then last night Ryan got one of his BAD headaches and said his throat was a little sore. This morning Ryan's throat is really bothering him and his head still hurting. It was finally decided that I would just stay home with my boys while Harold and all the girls went to Vegas for a couple days.
At the last minute Patrick decides he wants to go with.
Now you have to understand.... Patrick is a major mama's boy in the sense that he wants only me when he's hurt, he wants me to brush his teeth, read his bedtime stories, to snuggle with at night, and to snuggle with in the morning. Other than that he really doesn't need me. LOL.
Anyhow, we told him many times; "mom is not going, are you sure you still want to go?"
Patrick: "yep"
So the dialog went something like this:
Mom: "Patrick are you going to miss me?"
Patrick: "I'm going to miss you mom. I want you to go with."
Mom: "Sorry buddy, I can't go. Ryan is sick so he and I have to stay home."
a little bit later......
Patrick: "I'm going to miss you mom. - - long pause - - Actually, no I'm not."
Mom: "you're not going to miss me?"
Patrick: "nope"
they are on their way out the door, Patrick with his backpack of clothes slung over his shoulder.........
Mom: "I'm going to miss you Patrick."
Patrick: "Don't miss me."
Can I tell you how much I wanted to cry?!?!?!?!
It's not that Patrick is my favorite...I love all my kids the same. It's just different with your baby. Especially when he's the one that has never really been away from you like this before. I mean I was already having anxiety over leaving him for a week in February when I need to fly up to Mom's to get Ryan and then fly back.
So really this is just good warm up to that, but still........
I WANT TO CRY!!!!

sorry to hear you didn't get to go along. Is Ryan feeling any better?
Do you think his headache is from all the craziness in your house right now? You will have to tell me how to deal with the HA's if he has any while here. Hopefully you can get some rest and finish the things you need done before the weekend. Mom
oh, no! lol. I can totally relate, this is how I feel when KK runs out the door. You are right. It is different with the baby! On the other hand, its ironic to me that Ryan gets headaches, as Beth does too. Wonder what causes his and if we could trade secrets for dealing with them. Love ya! Carrie
