For those of you who don't know......
Ryan & I ended up in Vegas. :) Ryan woke up Tuesday feeling better and after a morning of watching M*A*S*H together & talking to a friend, we decided to drive up.
I tell ya, about 3 hours into the drive I was wondering, "why did we decide to do this????". It's a L-O-N-G drive!! We still had 2 hours ahead of us.....
We made it here safely at about 8:30pm and surprised my sister-in-law, not to mention my children! Harold and my fellow "out-law" were the only ones who knew we were coming. Haha.... it was fun.
Patti (my out-law's wife and the ones we are staying with) was practically speechless for half an hour. Although, we had a drink pretty quick to celebrate my safe arrival ;-)
The best part I think was when Harold's brother, Jeff, walked in after we'd been here a couple hours. Ryan was on the computer, I was on the couch watching tv with the kids and we were just acting normal. Jeff walks in and greets everyone, then notices Ryan and then me and the look on his face was too funny as he asked what we were doing here. hahahahahaha!! It's fun to surprise people!
About 30 mins later in walks Harold's sister, Brenda, with their mom & step-dad...those reactions were nearly as funny as Jeff's. :)
We swore everyone to secrecy as Jessica and Kayla still did not know we were here. They were spending the night at Brenda & Jeff's respectivly.
You won't laugh though when you read how Jessica found out I was in town. That's the next post.......
