Autumn's request.....

Autumn requested that while I was up here I find out how long it would take a bottle of water to freeze outside. I think a week ago it would have been an hour or less but this week it's slightly warmer and so took a bit longer. Here is the chronicle of our water bottle.....

This is our water bottle at 2pm local time when I first set it outside. You can see that the water is clear and very much a liquid :)

Here is said water bottle at 4pm local time. The water is cold but still very much a liquid :)

Here is our water bottle at 6pm local time. It is starting to freeze. Not a complete solid yet but working on it :)

Here is our water bottle at 8pm local time. It's definatly frozen now. So six hours is what it took today. If it gets colder we'll have to repeat the test and see how quickly it works :)
