the brains and the puppet...

I was reading a book today that was lent to me by my friend, Melissa.
In it the author talks about ways to teach your distractable child. She herself has an ADHD son and has found many things that work in homeschooling him.
.
I came across one story she tells of her son calling to her about a broken lightbulb and some smoke. She races in thinking there is a fire. Instead she finds a piece of the lightbulb about 10 feet from the lamp and remainder of the bulb.
.
As she ponders the possibilities of what caused this she notices a drop of what appears to be water on the piece. She asks her son (I think he's about six at this time.), if he dropped water on the bulb. He says, "no". She then inspects the lamp with the remainder of the bulb in it and notices what appears to be drizzles of spit on there. She can't believe it, but then again can, and asks if he has been spitting on the bulb. He doesn't answer her but has that look on his face so she rephrases the question: "Why have you been drizzling spit on your lightbulb?".
His response: "I like the sizzle."
.
Simple as that!
.
I practically fell off the couch laughing at this story! Harold wondered why I was laughing so hard so I read the story to him. I asked who that sounded like.....Autumn & Patrick!
,
We have come to the conclusion ~ Autumn is the brains and Patrick is her puppet!
.
She knows better than to try a lot of things on her own, but she is smart enough to know that her brother will do just about anything. They both have curiousity but his plays out cuter than hers.
.
She does things and depending on what it is, get's in trouble.
He does things and most times we laugh because of his silliness....although he does get in trouble too.
.
.
If you wonder about this at all....check out the post directly below this. We know who got the razor head out and helped her brother decide that he should try shaving his legs. :)

I have a feeling that the 2 kids had a lot to do with the cat being where she ended up, they both are devise enough to do these things.
The 3 kids did really well together, Adam was alone some times, but it was nice that the girls had such a good time together. Love Mom
