Our first stop was - Montezuma Castle National Monument
This is a cliff dwelling that was built into the side of the cliff by the Sinagua Indians in the Verde Valley.
It is fascinating to look at. This first picture on the left is taken from where we were on the trail. You can see that the dwelling is high up.
The next picture is zoomed in so you can see things a little better.

Visitor's are no longer permitted to climb up and go through the actual dwelling any longer. Although, one of the dad's of our homeschool kids has been inside. He has a business where he does laser imagining and he was asked to do this one. We will get to see it in the next few weeks. :)
There were some other ruins that we saw on our walk in this park. It was so neat. The kids really enjoyed it.

Wow, cool..I forgot why you were going to flagstaff..Thanks for the reminder! How was your birthday? Anything fun planned for you???
