toothfairy making deals...

The toothfairy really needs to stay away from our house for a bit! She is costing us money & teeth.

Friday (10/12) we all went to the dentist and Autumn needed to have atleast one tooth extracted. I also needed to get one taken out. We did not realize though that the dentist wanted to pull Autumn's tooth that day!

Autumn is very much like her big brother in that she needs to be prepared for what is going to happen. Once we found out that the dentist wanted to do the extraction that day I talked to her about it. She was very insistant that he was NOT pulling her tooth.
(Ended up she needed two pulled).

The conversation went something like this:

Me: "Will you please let him pull your teeth today? You can leave them out for the toothfairy tonight."
.
Autumn: "No! And I would only get $2 for them anyway."
.
Me: "Actually the toothfairy takes into account that you had them pulled out by the dentist and gives more money for that."
.
Autumn: "No she doesn't and besides, I know it's just you."
.
Me: "I bet she'll leave you $5 if you let Dr. John pull both teeth and if you want I'll see if Dr D. will pull my tooth today so we can suffer together."
.
Autumn: "No, I don't want them to pull my teeth."
.
I checked with Dr D. and he said he would do my extraction the same day if I wanted to. Of course I didn't want to....I was just trying to make a deal with Autumn :)

Me: "Ok, Dr D. said he would pull my tooth today so we could be the same. And I think the toothfairy will go up to $10 for yours."
.
Autumn: "I really don't want them to do it."
.
So the best part is when they put the Nitrus Oxcide on her and she becomes soooo agreeable ;)

She ended up getting both extractions done and was given this cute little tooth box to keep them in.

And yes, the toothfairy forked over $10 and a milkshake from McDonald's and I got my tooth extracted!

The best part...Harold was in just for his initial exam and he ended up having a tooth extracted also...hahaha!!
