memories...

I have decided that for the next few days, weeks, whatever, I am going to share memories of Wayne that come to mind. It could be one or several...just depends on the day :) You may need tissues for the tears or you may just laugh till you pee yourself. I have no idea which ones will come to me when :)

Tonight as I was delivering papers I had a couple memories come to mind and now that I sit down to type them out they are gone :( Uggghhhh!!!

*In May 1998 I flew up to Wisconsin with Ryan and Jessica who were only 4 & 3yrs old. We stayed with mom & Wayne for a whole month while Harold was out on deployment. Grampa and Jessica had a routine just about every day. After Wayne got home from work Gramma would make them each an ice cream cone and Jessica would sit on the arm of Grampa's chair. They would sit there and have their treat. :) I have pictures of that and I need to add them on here.

*In December of 1999 Ryan, Jessica, & I flew to Minnesota on emergency tickets because my dad had had a heart attack. While we were there Wayne asked for us to spend the rest of December with he and mom so the kids could be up there for Christmas. He offered to pay the fee for changing the dates on our tickets.
It worked out that he didn't have to and they came to pick us up in Minneapolis.
Wayne even had mom buy the kids presents to have under the tree...I disagreed because they had already sent boxes of presents to AZ. Wayne persisted though, he wanted them to have presents. Just more proof of his love for them.

Ok...I'm stopping there because I really need to find the pictures to go along with those two memories. That would just add a special touch to it all :)
