travels...

Thought maybe I should update a little bit since it's been a few days :)

The kids and I are currently in Duluth at my sister, Renee's house. We drove up here on Friday in mom's Volkswagon Bug....that was an experience! I was sooooo missing my van when Autumn started bugging Patrick and making too much noise. Atleast in the van I can seperate them. But it was fun driving a car. Then we had rain on and off...haven't driven in that much wet stuff in a while! :)

My best friend, Carrie, was/is kind enough to let us use her house for sleeping. Her kids are all in Oklahoma with their dads and so she likes having my two there for a few days. It's also nice for when the cousins get enough of each other...ha ha!
Although, Autumn & Patrick spent the night at Auntie Renee's last night and so I got some much needed peach and quiet at Carrie's. It was so relaxing this morning that I almost didn't leave..:)

Since we have been up here we have spent time with my dad and two younger sisters in Brainerd, MN. We went to their house on Saturday and spent a big potion of the day at the Paul Bunyon park. I have pictures but will have to wait until I am back at mom's to get those posted. My sisters got me to go on some rides I would normally never even dream of riding and they got a good laugh...well many good laughs from that!! We all had a great time and it was very hard to say bye that evening.

Sunday we went to church with Renee, Brad, & kids. The kids all had a great time in Sunday School. Renee just failed to mention to me that her pastor gets an HOUR for the sermon/message!! (our pastor in Yuma only gets 25-30 mins!) I had to pee pretty bad...ha ha...
It was a nice church though and then we attended a potluck and baptism event afterwards. Lots of people and lots of fun! The kids loved having all the room to run, a pool to swim in, and kittens to cuddle. My neice tried to get her parents to let her bring a kitten home....it didn't work though.

Today we are hanging out at Renee's. While her kids are at the dentist I am going to take Autumn & Patrick to see a few things around Duluth. They just HAVE to see the hosptial that Ryan was born in. You know, that is an important thing ;) Maybe we'll take a picture in front of it..ha ha.
Will see the Lift Bridge, the harbor, the lake walk, canal park, probably park point, and maybe where Harold, Ryan & I first lived. I'm sure there is more....

Tomorrow we head back to mom's house.
She called me yesterday and Wayne is getting weaker each day. Mom is having a hard time...I could really hear it in her voice. It's to be expected, it's just hard to watch her go through it. :(

I love you Mom!!

Thursday we will be flying back to AZ and get back into the routine of life at home.
