Everyday when I pick the kids up from school I ask them how the day was.
Yesterday was no different... Here is the conversation with Patrick.
Patrick: "It was a bad day..."
Me: "What happened? Did you get a green card?"
Patrick: "No, I almost got a yellow card..."
Me: "Did you get one?"
Patrick: "No, I got a green card..."
Me: "Well, why did you almost get a yellow card?"
Patrick: "Because I was doing silly stuff..."
Me: "What kind of stuff were you doing?"
Patrick: "Well, I was trying to eat the eraser off my pencil 'cause I was hungry and it was before lunch.."
This kid kills me! I was laughing at him and he is talking in his most serious matter-of-fact voice. No emotion on his face...just the facts :)

I hope Patrick continues to get the good colored cards. He probably likes the fact that he has a larger audience when at school. glad they are doing well.
