it's sooooo pink...

Today we went to the "bone doctor" to get the word on Autumn's arm. Specifically her right ulna :)

To the left here is the "lovely" splint that she has been wearing since Tuesday at Urgent Care. That thing was getting really dirty and smelly!! And believe it or not, she actually wanted to KEEP that thing when they took it off!! YUCK!!

Here she is by the end of her appt. In a lovely PINK cast for the next four weeks. She was not too pleased about the whole cast thing, but if she did have to wear one, two things were very important...#1- that she got to choose the color. #2- that she would be able to write with her right hand with this thing on..

She got both wishes. It's pink...very PINK....you can't even appreciate the pink in this picture....it's like NEON pink...like, we'll never lose you in the dark pink...wow!!
Anyhow, the word on the streets...err...Dr's office, is that she has a buckle in her ulna. He said kids bones are softer so they don't really break as easily but they do buckle. He wants her in the cast just to protect her from herself :) She has already fallen twice with the splint on and he says if he didn't put a cast on that she would break it real good if she were to fall. All she had to hear was "possible surgery if it breaks bad" and she was saying ok to the cast :)
.
I think she just felt left out and wanted to be more like her Auntie Bev ;)

Autumn, PINK????? COme on...I said Purple!!! I guess it will be o.k. will it match your clothes for School??? I wish I was there to sign it....good luck writing with that beast on....Be careful and don't get it wet (ha ha no dishes for you for 4 weeks)....but if you do get it wet, just use your mom's blow dryer and it will dry out and be good. Now if you are really like me you will need a new one in a couple of weeks...hee hee o.k. I will keep that to myself!
Love ya
