The above picture is a clue as to what Ryan, Autumn, & I did today.

Yep, we rode the city bus system. I've been wanting to teach Ryan & Jessica how the bus routes work and what all you need to do. It's certainly not as efficient as the one in MN that my sister & I used, but it works.
Jessica wimped out and would not go with us and Patrick was at school.
Ryan needs to know the route to the Marine Base for Saturday. It's the air show that day and I'm not sure if I'll be able to drive him so this is the next best thing. :)
.
The adventure began at about 10:30 this morning when the three of us left the house to walk up to the bus stop. This is no short walk either!! Those who have visited us know that walking up to the high school is a good walk...I'd say close to a half mile. We made it and caught the bus at 10:57. We had to ride it all the way to the new mall to make the transfer to the blue route which would take us to the base.
We transfered buses just fine, but it was a LONG ride to the base! Ryan started to worry that we were not going there....that's one reason I am very glad I went with him. We did finally get there though and had to walk to the gate and then onto the base to Burger King where we had lunch. Then to the commissary and then back off the base to the bus stop.
.
Caught the bus back to the mall at 2:11pm and then transfered to the other one at 2:43. It was getting hot out so Autumn & I decided that when we got down to the new Wal-mart (close to our house & close to Krysten's work) that we would get off and "steal" Krysten's car to drive home..LOL! Ryan continued on the bus.
.
We finally got home around 3:40pm and Ryan came in about 10 minutes later.
.
5 hours and $9 later we are recouping :)

the bus system in Duluth was easy and a good way to get around. To bad it's not as easy there, The kids could enjoy getting around to places on ther own.
Mom
Well Ryan used the bus again today to come home from the air show. He seems to like riding it. Fine with me :)
I wish they would make some improvements to the route but I think that will take more time before they do...
