back in the saddle...

It's been a couple weeks since I've updated. I think one is due :)

Patrick, Autumn, & I did fly back to Arizona on July 3rd. They were happy to be going on an airplane yet again. Funny thing...we ended up in the exact same seats as the flight up, only on the opposite side of the aisle! It worked though since the bathrooms were right behind us and Autumn made enough trips to use them. :)

It's been interesting getting home and getting back into things. For me, my base paper route changed a little while I was gone and tonight will be my first night learning that without help (Harold drove me on it last week since he learned the changes).
The heat has been a hard one. It was hot when we left but not in the 100's yet....well, we came home to that! Uggh!! I loved the cooler weather in WI & MN and I think the kids did too.

It's also adapting to knowing that Wayne continues to go on with his illness while we are not physically there. It's easy to "bury your head in the sand" when you are so far away but your mind still remembers what is going on. It's a constant thought and a hard one.
I personally don't want to watch him decline any further, but I hate being so far away.

Sad thing...but funny thing....we've been back 2 weeks & I still have not unpacked the kid's suitcase..... Yea, that's me :)
